A Lovely day for fishing {Open/pack only}

Location: Lower region of the river

Cass padded along the ridges of the stream, her ice orbs focusing on the quick shimmer of a silver marine making its way to the lake that rested below Aiken Slopes. The female's banner twitched. "I need to begin thinking about growing this pack" She sighed, one aud flicking back. From all that Cass had heard, the rest of the packs in the empire were low on recruits as well.
Without thought, the alphaess dove into the stream, before lifting her sleek cranium up, a small trout bestowed in her powerful jaws. She made her way to the shelter of a bush, her body beginning to feel cold. "Stupid, stupid." Cass scolded herself, realizing she had plunged into the icy stream during the winter, and would have to wander back to the dens in the cold snow. However, another thing happened to be tugging on her mind. The female was three years old, the best time to find a mate. Cass knew the responsibility of her pack by the fact only alphas were mainly supposed to mate, producing one of the biggest sources of new blood for the pack. Her nape extended gracefully as she trotted through the snow. But how could she find a mate when there were barely any wolves in the empire?

Callisto made her way along the bank, paws sliding across the slick ice. Her maw was held slightly open, puffs of breath falling out as they condensed in the humid winter atmosphere. The beta's auds swiveled forwards, picking up the scent of her alphaess. She picked up the pace, banner held high in excitement as she let out a few low barks of greeting, before slowing and lowering her cranium before tucking her tail in between her legs, approaching Golden Cascade as she placed her muzzle in the crook of her chest. A signal of submission.

She waited for a few moments before retracting, silky banner beginning to wag slowly in the eagerness of being in the presence of her new home. Her bright orbs scanned the area, white pelt making her appear as a misplaced snow drift. "I'm so excited to begin my duties in this pack." Callisto spoke, voice threaded with confidence.

Cass grinned, excited by the eagerness of her pack-mate. Her worries of Scourge crumbling were replenished by the reassurance of Callisto. "Follow me, I'll show you around." The alphaess spoke, her honey-gold tail flicking forth as a signal to venture on. Her icy blue orbs closed for a moment, inhaling sharply. There was definitely new blood in the neutral lands. She could smell almost every single wolf that journeyed near her border line. Cass leaped up on a log, crossing over a portion of the river that had broken, causing large currents of ice to twirl underneath them. She knew that her agility skills were keen, but how sure-footed was Callisto? She landed on the other side, turning sharply and waiting for her beta.

Callisto drew in a deep breath seeing the obstacle that had unfolded in front of them. She could tell That Cass was uneasy, possibly from the fact she just met her. Cali gave her a nod of reassurance, leaping up and copying the alpha's movements with precision. "What is this place like in the spring?" She asked, making sure to not pass her alphaess in the travel. Her aud flicked backwards, picking up the sounds of a few cardinals arguing. She could only imagine the beauties that would unfold over the next seasons. Bright flowers, budding trees, possibly even pups around the camp. Her pads sunk into a muddy crossing, which had obviously been used more than a few times. Her pace slowed significantly, waiting for Cass to make the decision on what path they would take.

The alphaess grinned, thinking about spring. "It sure is an experience." She said softly, turning right onto the path. "I would like to take you to the campsite first, allow you to settle." Cass said, not even thinking about the direction she was headed. She knew all of the paths by heart. Cass lowered herself to her belly, crawling under a thicket of brambles. She looked off to the right, observing where the forest began to grow more dense. "There is the Akita Forest. It has large amounts of moose in the northern edge, near the Oliran Valley." She said, walking a bit quicker as they hit an incline, nearing the entrance to the campsite. Cass stepped over a small creek, most likely formed from melting snow. As they neared the entrance, she slowed, realizing all of this must be a lot to take in. "You will get used to the surroundings, as well as recognize our territory from miles away." She reassured, coming to a halt outside of two large pines that marked the entrance to the camp.
